Argus C3
Blogspot60 proudly presents: our new (1956) Argus C3! Dusty, very dusty, I had to take half the CRF out because I couldn't see a thing, but "shutter firing correctly" as the seller put it. And she has the same focussing problem as the C2 so tomorrow I'll calibrate the Enna 100 and see what happens. Can't wait!
PS Hi, John!

These are an intriguing looking camera, I have seen descriptions of them in a book I have; Ivor Matanle's "Collecting and Using Classic Cameras". I have found the book excellent on many of the cameras I have bought, but it is less than complementary on the C3. 'Unbeautiful', probably go along with that; "ruggedness akin to a builders wheelbarrow", well it looks solid; "they rarely perform well now", be interested to hear your view when you start using it; "not to be recommended for taking pictures, although as a doorstop or paperweight they have much to recommend them", here I think he is being overly critical and comparing with much more expensive cameras. I suspect that with this kind of camera you select the appropriate subject rather than treat it as a 'catch all' kind of camera. For a camera buff it 'looks the bizz'.
