I understand almost nothing

Lorencova

Behind this door, Bilkerstrasse 15 in Düsseldorf, where once the Schumann family lived, is paradise. Sculpture, jewelry and a magic garden - you hàve to go there! Next time I'll take my Linhof - this time it was the 1956 Argus C3 with the >1955 Sandmar.

Siesta

Warm day at the Schwanenspiegel (Swan-mirror). Two Canadians enjoy their daily gossip, the girl enjoys the sun and for the old man there's always the consolation in a smoke.

# Souvenirs souvenirs

Filtered Pinhole

Isn't that interesting? Mandee filters, time ± 0.5 sec at f1024 on (look at the sky!) Fomapan400
PS the light background of the numbers is dark yellow.

Killing the romance

Drilled a hole in the body-cover, sheet film holder on the back and there she is: the pinhole Hasselbald. Next time with roll film, because this test-sheet is overdeveloped. Easy, portable but lacking that feeling...

Testing...

...my 1964 Russian cardboard Lubitel box for next week: April 25 is Pinhole-day. Hoping for good weather: 60 secs in the sun, subject: our famous Waalbrug.
(Yes, that's me again, reflected in the door.)

Fast orthochromatic

Yes, it did produce an image, the 1948 Ansco Plenachrome. But as you see, the gelatin ate some of the back paper - don't know how to remove that. As I said below, I don't think film >1955 is still usable. Sad. (See March 26.)

Orthochromatic

The 120 Gevachrome 30 ortho expired july 1957 was in my 1962 Click, and in the 1965 Starluxe 127 was march 2012 Efke. Not entirely scientifically correct. Terrible fog, also. But out of the AM74 came an image! And ortho is not bad at all (look for the differences.)

The house...

...my grandparents lived in, 45+ years ago. They were on bad terms with the whole family, I was twelve when I learnt they existed! And went there to ask. From then on regularly. Rusk and cheese, canasta. My step-grandmother was German, cooked "Rheinländisch". In the summer, tea on that tiny balcony. Nice memories.

Efke R100 in the 1950< Ferrania Ibis, and Jeroen: thanks for the AM74 (6min 1:7)

Sky, sun, clouds

Well, I was testing that Y-filter, wasn't I?

Lucky!

Perfect day to test the Y-filter on my 1962 Click -
but no developer left.
Well, there wàs that box P*film from Milano I had at least 20 years. "Condor Foto"- ever heard of that?
"N.B. The solution is cloudy, the colloidal suspension being formed by various substances present in the tablets wich do not have an adverse effect upon the development action; infact play an integral part in it." And they were right. PS: RolleiRetro 400

Box-cameras with extra lens 1

My pre-1946 Target six-16 (without name, Canadian?) is a bit like me: when you get older you don't need your glasses any more. She's sharper now in close-up mode! Or is she?
(The picture is a bit full;) left: with the built-in lens, should be beyond 10 feet. Right: without the lens, should be 5-10 feet. Because most extra lenses are for close-up, I somehow think there's nothing wrong with the lenses, but the print on the front is wrong.
(The Fomapan400 was not at his best today, the weather, like yesterday, wàs.)

Early Easter Breakfast in Beers 04-04-04am

Weird things old men do in the morning... Yes, that's me, peeling a soft-green but hard-boiled easter-egg at 4am. In the band-stand of Beers, a tiny village ±12 km from where I live.
Why? In the "4amproject" people all over the world took photos today at 4am, april 4.
>1990 Mecablitz on my 1977 Praktica, Super Albinar 28mm on FP4 The small "empty" one: 10 secs without flash. Both F5.6
