Tribute to a fallen hero

Yes you are right, a bit cheap, social kitsch. But there is more to this picture than the 2012 contrast, the 1987 Agfa Ortho and the 1956 Argus C3.
The Eastman Kodak Developing Powder.
Yes, the Giant is now on his knees, but we should never forget the great quality stuff we all enjoyed.
This developer could well be a century old (look at my flickr photostream erwinruys) and it still performed as promised by uncle Eastman.
Because these "developing powders" are nameless, I think they are pre D76,
and that is ± 1927!

Time-machine (2)
Isn't this great: look at the shoes! Modern again - like they were 40 years ago!
With my Yashica 635 plus Sun Aux, the Plus-X prof a bit older, 1965, but the Реактив ànd the Фиксаж very seventies.
On the small picture is my first Time Machine: 1946 Perpantic in the 1938 Leica with 1945 Elmar. More info on both: flickr photostream erwinruys.

Requiem for a Heavyweight
I am more an Ilford-man, but it's sad to see this giant go down. Because, after some Agfa, I did spend my early years with Plus-X and exciting Tri-X, of course in Promicrol. So today I took my last Verichrome Eastman Kodak Company will not manufacture film in this size after 1983 and put it in my 1955 Brownie 620
"Requiem for a Heavyweight" Rod Serling 1956 and later.
