In the spring/summertime I'm more the birdwatcher than the light-addict. Sorry! But I do not forget my black&white roots. Never. So here is a (rather desperate, poor thing) oystercatcher in black and white. And some red. In an also b&w&r asphalt desert where some time ago his home was...
And the Common Tern, elegant as ever, also in b&w&r.
Poor thing, but also very opportunistic, so the oystercatcher will find new territory! The shot of the tern clearly shows its streamlined posture. Compared with that, a gull is rather ugly.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat's why the Germans call them Swallow, so elegant.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenPS We Dutch call them Fish-thieve, and I actually have a picture of a Tern stealing a fish in front of a Grebe. Splàsh!
