Today "our" bridge celebrates it's 75th birthday and for me there's a story to it. Of course the official opening had to be tested, by a lieutenant in a car. And as he was my mother's (then) boyfriend, she became the first woman to drive over the new bridge. Whoa!
Of course I took this picture with the 1936 KW Pilot6, on 1960 Ansco, 1/25 sec F7,7 (you can see the back paper etc.) More info about this film on flickr.
Small pic: at 6 secs all traffic disappears, but the back paper fog becomes very visible. (see comment)
Congratulations with this remarkable jubilee!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenRegarding the picture: Great nostalgic feel, except for the modern cars, but that can not be avoided on one of the busiest entrance roads to Nijmegen.
...And this was a quiet moment!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGefeliciteerd! Een mooi verhaal!
