My Argus C2 (around 1942) is a very clever camera. Pretty, too, kind of Art-Deco. The Sandmar 100mm (a bit later: Enna-Werk München U.S. Zone Germany...) is a different story. Correct focusing is essential - and difficult. Nil desperandum - as the Jesuits taught me.

  3. Some types of lenses are very forgiving, like the Sonnar 150 (see below). The Sandmar has BIG contrast-problems. Typical for post-war occupied-Germany. Coating almost non-existing.
