Imperiale S Pan, Made in Spain.
I think it's Ilford FP3 still going strong after 50 years in my 1949 Argoflex.
(And they used the name of a firm Ilford once bought.)

Two Corners

Then and now.
One corner: a famous name in Nijmegen starting something new. And only a few metres away another famous name in Nijmegen closed the doors forever.

I had seventies FP3 in the Praktica with Albinar 28 mm, developed in two teaspoons fourties D-11.

Lovely weather, misty, quiet.
1973 FP3 first in the Praktica LTL3 and then in the Burke & James from Chicago.
Fredol, very old stuff. Nice.
1/30 at 5,6 Super Albinar 28mm.

This year...

...started dark and drizzling, but what the heck. The original Смена-cassettes scratched my foggy 1973 FP3 beyond repair but look how very reliably the interbellum George Murphy Eagle developer performs!

Only the Tabloid developer is interbellum.

November blues

Just checking the Werra (okay now) - and then I noticed how empty the street was. Two days before the old man returns for his yearly visit. Crisis all over the place...

Work

No, of course I was nòt only enjoying the caffè con gelato at Ponte Vecchio, Fior di Panna at La Carraia, or spinaci at Giannino.
I was looking for "Firenze di Allora".
And sometimes even found it!
Here, for instance, La Giustizia, by Francesco Ferrucci del Tadda. And, ladies, you'll find Salvatore Ferragamo nearby, but mind your steps...

Once upon a time Nijmegen was a famous flower city for tourists. Today I had a déjà-vu from the late sixties, when I visited sunny Czechoslovakia.
Yes, it is the same avenue, railway station in the back,  and there are still some fountains.

4 Days Marches Чаика

Not really a test, the Olympus film was in Eastman VSOP, and this Chaika film in fresh seventies Реактив, so let's not compare, just say that the little 1970 Chaika is not bad at all! Better than expected - like the weather this week.

Pontoon-bridge 2012

Tradition: 4Days-thursday: the pontoon-bridge near Cuyk. Always interesting, this year again the weather was friendly (I love pontoon-bridges in the rain!) but so were the girls who served coffee and a cream-muffin (whàt?!)



On my old ФЕД-2 was a younger Industar, I put the 1973 Ilford fearlessly in seventies Реактив. 

Vierdaagse

First: the weather is not as bad as predicted. Second: this is the last film in the centenarian. Lasted almost six weeks, several films and what you see here is half frame (and 1973 Ilford) so chapeau, uncle Eastman!

My ± 1973 Olympus Pen only does 1/30 at F22 but I don't mind.

Bücherbummel

Okay, das bedeutet glänzende Limusinen und fine cigars, ein Glas Wein und eine Fliege im Vorbeigehn.
Ja, Bücher auch; Soljanka in meinem Fall. Wie üblich abgeschlossen bei Vecchio, man gönnt sich ja sonst nichts.


In der 1938 Leica war 1973 FP3 hinter der 1945 Elmar 9cm. Entwickelt in Eastman Uralt.

Or, in Dutch: "Dorpsstraat, Ons Dorp". The cheapest Monopoly street.
No cars - need I say more?
Behind the 1938 Elmar was probably FP3.
Test material, turned out very well, grey fog but perfectly usable.
Which is nice, because I bought 200 feet of it.

the Morning After

April 1968 FP3 in the 1990< Еликон

This was the 4th in a series of "normal" films, around 100 ASA.
Results: 2006 CBEMA (in Реактив) is too thin to handle and rockhard in contrast. 1968 Isopan (as usual in Rodinal): no joy at all, rather strange because her older 120 sister had no problems. The Ilford FP3, one old, one new box, were as expected: nice fog, nice pics. Better than the FP4 I had recently, but that could be a matter of taste.

And to do justice to the Свема: sunday's picture, this time not behind that half-frame Индустар 69, but the И95, that's 38mm.
It almost looks as if the Свема has a built in yellow filter

Tourists

The poor things... Nice umbrellas, though. And the 1969 FP3 looks all right too but it has in fact an interesting fog, only visible when underexposed, which is very much possible in my 1990< Еликон 35СМ...

Стардог!с

On December 30 Nijmegen also will be bitten by the Starbug.
After the Ukraine and Düsseldorf.
So yesterday I didn't only photograph the Weihnachtsmarkt, but also "my" Starbucks. On 1962 FP3 in the 1957 Colorsnap Bantam.

Sonne - von Karstadt bis zum Rathaus. Aber es duftet schon sehr weihnachtlich und der Mandelstollen von Polster schmeckt vorzüglich. Die 8 Aufnahmen 828 reichen absolut nicht, aber wir haben noch fünf Wochen.

And comparing Ilford FP3/FP4. Not bad, hey? The left one is "antique brown" because I thought it was the old FP3!
Well, in fact there is some spotty fog, but who cares.
