The 2016 Summer Lecture: Macro

Mostly done with 1D, 2D and 3,5D push-ons, others with a tube, on really simple cameras.

I had a lot of fun with them, this summer.

HOWITSDONE: The push-on in my pocket, and a rope with knots at around 35 and 50cm on the camera. Nothing else, simple and quick. No tripod - I'm a sniper. 

The lenses: Agfa1 and 2 Dioptres, they fit on several Agfas: Click and Clack, Iso Rapid and Isola. And also on the 1936 KW Pilot! 

The Russian 2D fits on the Retina Xenon and the Colorsnap, the Shkolnik and the Smena; the 3,5 D is for the old Lubitel 2, but it also goes on the Kodak Duo 620! From the 8mm Quarz I use the F=240 (the 716 is hardly worth the trouble) on that strange T-43 with 39m screw.

With SLR's I simply move towards the subject untill in focus. At at least 5,6 so I can see something...

With the Russian 3.5 on the DUO620 the knots are 23,5 and 29,5 cm to front lens, rather strange.

3D Stereo with the Iloca: keep the subject simple, because the 3D effect is superproportional, rather chaotic in nature, but also very nice. (Eyes relaxed on inf, concentrate on the ghost pic in the middle.)

M39 - the 2013 Easter Lecture...

M39 - the famous screw-Leica, and all those Russian clones, early Zenits and other cameras. Interchangable lenses, wòw!

Looking for some WA for my фед, I bought that "widely available" индустар-69 and discovered that it's half-frame, ànd (I had a hell of a time finding a naked чайка) the film-plane distance is also different: the Elmar's don't fit the чайка either.

Then I bought the мир-1 "Grand Prix Brussels 1958", only to discover that this lens is nòt for CRF's. Sigh! So I ordered a 39/42 ring in Scotland and almost wrecked my Praktica. Ordered one in China but that hasn't arrived yet and then I could not wait any longer, I hàd to test it so wrapped that plumber-stuff around it (for concentricity) and glued it to the poor old LTL 3! Looks very posh!

"Are you serious...?"
Yes, I'm a daredevil. No respect for cameras whatsoever. But because even glue has some "thickness", infinite still came a lot nearer, so it is not the sharpest 37mm ever (and AgfaOrtho never gives that suggestion of sharpness).

Legendary M39 - too small, slow, nòt universal. But when I'm using my wartime Elmar on the Frankenstein it feels very, very right.

I had the early mass today, and the world was white again! So I took my ФЕД with the 50mm Elmar, threw the FP3 in tired Fredol, and out came one "Norsk" picture.

Pontoon-bridge 2012

Tradition: 4Days-thursday: the pontoon-bridge near Cuyk. Always interesting, this year again the weather was friendly (I love pontoon-bridges in the rain!) but so were the girls who served coffee and a cream-muffin (whàt?!)



On my old ФЕД-2 was a younger Industar, I put the 1973 Ilford fearlessly in seventies Реактив.
