Moon over Jena ;)

Well, my 1977 Pentacon can handle a lot, but the dead-straight contre-jour, produced by the moon in the middle was too much for this fine GDR aus Jena lens.

You can see some of the problems, I cannot believe it's 1993 but look at my Flickr photostream for that.
Also interesting: price-policy. You know those 5-years planning in the USSR, so let's take 5 years before the exp.date. That means Brezhnev in 1968 paid 40 kopeke for that Svema 65. Fifteen years later for Andropov it was still only 50, but in 1988 Gorbachev had to pay 1 rubel 5 kopeke. And you haven't seen this yet, but one year earlier the Svema 32 was only 35 kopeke.

Hasty last-on-film

Snow in the park, very cold fingers, but I like to test a "new" camera contrejour. My neighbour's gift, and not bad at all. 1977 Praktica LTL3, MC Pentacon on floppy (that very thin and clear base) hard Agfa 400S...

The Taming of the Shrew

Getting there with a scourer, some felt, foam plastic, glue, hope. The 1950 Agifold has very interesting features. An extinction-meter, non-coupled rangefinder and that 90mm 4,5 AGI Anastigmat. Not to mention the way she opens! Probably built by a blacksmith: huge springs and connecting-rods all over the place. (PS: felt and foam are to "slow down" the film to keep it taut.)

Fremdenindustrie

Buiten houdt de stadsgids de kudde in bedwang (nog nèt) met zijn microfoontje, maar binnen wint de sfeer het gelukkig, bij een enkeling.

En de FotoFilmFabriek in Dordrecht levert (zeer snel, zeer correct) nog steeds 127 filmpjes voor mijn Franse Brownie Starluxe II. (Het Starmite model II liep van 1962-1967) Ontwikkeld in Microphen, voor de buitenopnamen iets te fors, maar die ene binnenopname was anders niks geworden, want het was daar zeker niet EV13.

Tegenlicht

Jawel - zelfs de Canon FD 400mm SSC (1980)is niet helemaal vertekeningsvrij. Hoewel hij minstens tien keer zoveel kostte als mijn Soligor 350mm die ook qua scherpte helemaal niet slecht was! En de Metz60 kon de bijna twintig meter ook niet zodanig overbruggen dat de overstraling werd overwonnen. Wel helemaal foutloos: Mari Carmen.

Raadsel

Ik heb het nooit kunnen oplossen: die schaduw op de rug. Camera: waarschijnlijk Hasselblad met T*Sonnar 150mm.
