Learning

My Argus C2 (around 1942) is a very clever camera. Pretty, too, kind of Art-Deco. The Sandmar 100mm (a bit later: Enna-Werk München U.S. Zone Germany...) is a different story. Correct focusing is essential - and difficult. Nil desperandum - as the Jesuits taught me.

Introduction 2

So, in 1960 I got my first camera: a Hit. Five years later a real TLR: the famous Lubitel. I still have one. And a Meopta enlarger. And my first prints. Rain, moody skies. Twenty years of professional sports-photography and ten years drawing later I'm back in the sixties. Rain. Moody skies. I love it!

About this coal-black picture: Nikonos IV-A (1980), Nikkor 2.5 35mm (1977) on HP5 in Microphen. Don't ask about the black borders: I have no idea. Just another against-the-light effect? (See june 19 below)

FOMA Bohemia

Nee, geen voetbalclub (ofschoon ze wèl zo'n logo hebben...) maar een fantastische film. Voor de ouderwetsen onder ons. Even schrikken toen ik de ontwikkelaar wegschonk: die was sterk gekleurd, en ook de film bleek cyanotisch. Waarschijnlijk te wijten aan de anti-halolaag, en geen enkel probleem: ik houd wel van een glaasje absinth op z'n tijd. PS - foto: Agfa Billy.

Prisma / geen prisma!

Zes keer gecontroleerd (moeilijk te zien bij HP5 in ADOX) en vastgesteld dat de film echt goed in de negatiefhouder lag. Heus. Maar ik kon zwéren dat de kat echt op zijn linkerzij had gelegen. Heus. Was onmogelijk - zie nummerbord. Tot ik me realiseerde dat ik de kat gezien had door de spiegelverkeerde lichtkapzoeker (ivm het gewicht). Nounounou...
Hasselblad 500C/M met Sonnar 150mm beide uit 1976. Het licht gemeten met een piepkleine Fodor Baby IIa seleniummeter.
